My Holiday Looks-Mexico here I come!

This Friday (17th May), myself and my lovely boyfriend head off into the sunshine, to Cancun-Mexico!
Excited is an understatement! This will be our first trip there and all people keep telling me is how much we will love it and not want to come home! That will probably end up being true for us too...

Going away somewhere that's 30C+ (woo hoo)! Means outfit and accessory planning and a bit of fun shopping for some new pieces.
My new clothes rail in my dressing room has come in super handy when organizing and packing for this holiday, as I can see everything I want to take, then sort out what I really don't need to take (I am an over packer I confess. Those 6 different pairs of shoes COULD be needed)!

Below are some snapshots of some of the items I will be taking, new and old...

Shoes glorious shoes!
L-R Glitter shoes Primark,Holographic heels Daniel Footwear, Denim spiked heels Jeffrey Campbell, Black skull sandals Primark Pink & Black aztec flip-flops Primark

Topshop Pineapple print dress. Cannot wait to wear this whilst sipping cocktails by the pool!

Beautiful Virgos Lounge dress for evening means and drinks (I call this my 'Tinkerbell' dress) The silver, sparkly embellished detailing is stunning against the soft mint green fabric of the dress

A pop of neon and a Beyonce H&M dress!

I am clearly not taking ALL these sunglasses, but of course a few ;)

With less than 48 hours to go, the holiday mood is starting to sink in! I am one of those people though that doesn't really enjoy getting there...I just want to be there already!

How do you organize your packing? What are your favorite looks for Summer Holidays?

Life Lately

Long time no speak!
I apologise for being a very naughty blogger at the moment....life has been pretty hectic and it's been a little tricky to give my blog the TLC it needs. Well, I am going to manage my time a lot better and make more time for blog posts and You Tube. This online world is such a creative outlet for me and I have missed contributing to it so much-so I need to get back on it!

Anyways, I thought I would get back into the swing of things with a post sharing some snippets of my week so far. Me and Steve are off to Mexico this Friday (CANNOT WAIT)!!! So I've been busy buying holiday bits, seeing family and friends before I go and having little holiday pampering sessions.

As the weather is slowly brightening up here in the UK, it feels good to start wearing Summer prints and colours! :) Flowers are always a must for this season, so this look is pattern on pattern, with my floral River Island lightweight jacket and Primark toile de joule shirt.

Next up-my holiday nails! I wanted something bright, fun and glittery for my holiday in Cancun-so I went for a sunset inspired glitter ombré effect. Perfect!

I am currently lusting over the Chanel espadrilles and am seriously considering in investing in a pair. They might be a challenge to find though, as apparently they are sold out!

Shopping in Topshop yesterday and couldn't ignore the life size zebras scattered around the store! I work within the VM industry and really admire anything unique and creative like this within a retail environment.

Last night after a wonderful shopping trip with a dear friend of mine, we finished the night off with a delicious Chinese meal! Dim Sung and beef stir fry noodles...YUM!

I hope you enjoy this random little post of mine and I look forward to writing more soon!

Easter Shower Gels from Philosophy

Carrying on from the theme of my last post, which was Spring & Easter interior, I thought I would share with you my love for Philosophy shower gels <3>

I actually got these a while ago, to put away for this time of year (sad to some, genius to others) and have obviously got them out and I am starting to work through them one by one!

First up is the adorably named, 'sugar chick'. Something I must mention is the fact that I love the branding and text on the front of each Philosophy product. The Easter ones especially are too cute! ' 2 egg whites, whip egg whits, sugar, 1tsp vanilla extract...' I just think it's a really fun and quite unique way to display the essences and inspiration behind their products!
The sugar chick one is not as sweet as you'd think. It definitely has an underlining vanilla scent though and the colour of the gel itself is a beautiful rich, golden shade which sparkles under the water.

'Frosted Cookie' is a real sweet delight! It smells fruity as well as sugary and has a hint of strawberry to it-YUM!

'Chocolate Bunny' should come with a massive warning label on it saying 'DO NOT EAT NO MATTER HOW TEMPTING IT MAY BE'! Man this thing smells AMAZING! It really does just smell like chocolate-it's honestly as simple as that.

I have really enjoyed using all three scents but as you can see from my photos, so far, my favourite at this moment in time (it will change on a weekly basis trust me), is the sugar chick one. I just love the colour of the gel and the fact their is a sweet, fluffy scent there but it's not too overpowering or sickly.

I am a big fan of Philosophy shower gels-are you?
What ones do you recommend I try?

Spring & Easter Interior Notes

Happy Easter everyone!
I hope you are enjoying the lovely, long weekend we have here in the UK :)

I thought I would share with you today some snippets of Spring and Easter in our home. The weather here might still be utterly ridiculous outside (Soooooo cold and snowy at times)!-but Spring is one of my favourite seasons of the year. Not only because of the chocolate eggs, adorable baby lambs, bunnies, chicks and daffodils slowly springing up from the ground, but Spring also marks the start of new beginnings for me. I truly believe in the concept of 'Spring Cleaning'! Not just your home and work space, but also with your attitude towards health, life and others in it. Use the beginning of Spring to mark new goals, new plans and occasions, new looks, new experiments...it can really be a happy and exciting time!

Anyways...now onto the interior part of the post!

You honestly do not have to spend a lot of money or time when it comes to decorating for Easter and incorporating Spring touches within your home. Everything I am showing you below came to less than £30 (I am including a LARGE Yankee Candle into that which you obviously don't have too). I literally went to the pound shop (£) to pick my accessories up!

Fresh cut flowers in a vase (I chose daffodils as they are one of my favourite kinds) are a perfect and beautiful way to add colour and the great outdoors into your home. To give more of an Easter twist to the arrangement, I added these adorable sparkly eggs on sticks from £ land!

I treated myself to the large 'Bunny Cake' Yankee Candle from Debenhams. Not only because it's a bunny and Easter themed AND pink, but the scent is sweet and fresh and creates a lovely atmosphere in our living room.

Having sweet treats out on display is a fun and tasty way to celebrate Easter. It always goes down a treat when we have visitors over!

These cute and retro style bunnies and chicks are always easy to find at Easter! Again, these were cheap & cheerful from the £ shop and I just dot them around our place to add humour and cuteness!

I have placed sequin, hanging Easter Eggs around the apartment to tie in the whole theme throughout.

Of course you need some chocolate eggs!!!!!!!

On our dining/kitchen table, we have a beautiful Moroccan candle centre piece, which was the perfect place to hang some more sequin eggs to admire over Easter lunch.

So there we have it! A fun, seasonal and affordable way to incorporate Spring and Easter into your home.
I hope you liked this post and I would LOVE to hear on how/if you decorate your space for this Easter season.

My Little Pony iPhone case from SparKylies

My work friends know me SO well!
One of the many wonderful birthday presents they got me last week was this beyond AMAZING iPhone 5 bling, My Little Pony 3D case from a fabulous company called SparKylies!

Honestly, you guys should know by now that I am obsessed with all things girly, pretty, sparkly, OTT, My Little Pony, Care Bears, Barbie, Hello Kitty... (I wasn't 27 last week...)! ;)
I would honestly describe my accessories style as 'girly tack'-in a good way of course.

Funnily enough, I have spoken to SparKylies a few times before on twitter (pretty much every time I see them post a new design)! and have always found their service so lovely and helpful. There are many designs for you to pick from and you can even customise them! My case was picked out and designed by my friends which makes it even more special I must say <3>

*With flash to show off the bling and shimmer!*

The case features a real My Little Pony figure, which has then been adorned with beautiful crystals. I love how it still has it's adorable peachy pink hair too!

The quality of the case is brilliant. Solid, neat and sturdy feeling. Yes, the pony attached to the back does make it somewhat a little trickier to hold, but it's surprising how quick you soon get use to it. I also love the looks people give when I have it up against my ear chatting away!

I would honestly recommend these cases and this is by far my favourite case I have ever owned!

It's tempting to get a matching iPad case...

Do you like OTT/Blingy phone cases? What would be your dream design?

Make-up brush collection and how I clean my brushers!

A couple of days ago, I did the sometimes tedious but well worth chore of cleaning and sorting out my make-up brushes.
While I was doing this, I thought I'd snap some pictures and share with you what ones make up (excuse the pun)! ;) my collection so far.

First of all, I clean my brushes the good old fashioned way, which is warm water and any kind of soap/cleasing based product (or sometimes hair conditioner). I chose to use a tiny amount of my Neutrogena face wash. I know you can buy brush cleaning products from the likes of Mac and Clinique, but I am not entirely sure if they make that much difference or not? Please let me know if you've tried them as I'd be interested to know your thoughts!

Now,obviously every brush has a different function but if I had to choose just one of my favourite  it would probably be at the minute the Real Techniques stippling brush. The bristles on the brush head are soft, well shaped even after being cleaned, and the brush itself is comfortable and so easy to use! It picks up just enough product and I use it almost daily along my with my Chanel Soleil Tan Bronze Universal. The brush and product work perfectly together and the bristles along with the stippling motion help create a bronzed, almost airbrushed look to my complexion.

I am also a big fan of BIG buff blush brushes (try and say that quickly)! One of my favourites for this use has to be the Japonesque 933 brush. It's fluffy, soft, over sized and allows great coverage by picking up just the right amount of product and allowing you to build up coverage/colour slowly. The brand Japonesque in general have amazing quality brushes and next on my list from them is the safari chic bronzer brush (how gorgeous is the design)?!

Lastly, I store them in a recent TK Maxx find. A Molton Brown olive green glas jar. I love the colour and size of this tumblr, and it allows me to keep my brushers in easy reaching distance when I am running around like a mad woman in the mornings trying to get ready and beat the clock out the house!

How do you clean and store your brushers? Any ones you can recommend for me?
